The St.-Viti-Gymnasium Zeven is a general education high school in the Lower Saxon town of Zeven in the Rotenburg (Wümme) district . The school is named after St. Vitus (Vitus) . Since May 1, 2007 the St. Viti-Gymnasium has been a training school for the study seminar in Stade .

The grammar school is attended by approx. 920 pupils in classes or years 5 to 13. They are taught by around 90 educators (2019).

Special features of the school

On August 28, 2019, the St.-Viti-Gymnasium Zeven was recognized as the most successful history school in Lower Saxony in the history competition of the Federal President.

history

After the magistrate of the city of Zeven decided in 1954 to set up a secondary school, teaching began in 1955 for the first students at the newly founded St. Viti School. It initially took place in a former refugee hostel.

In the past few decades, numerous extensions, conversions and modernizations have been carried out, so that the St. Viti high school is now presented in a modern and well-kept structure that meets today's requirements.
