Heiner Hastedt

Heiner Hastedt (born January 3, 1958 in Zeven ) is a German philosopher and professor at the University of Rostock .

Life

Hastedt attended the St. Viti High School in Zeven until 1976 and then studied philosophy, religion, German and educational science at the Universities of Göttingen, Hamburg and Bristol. He passed the 1st and 2nd state exams in 1982 and 1985, respectively.

From 1984 to 1987 he was a research assistant at the Philosophical Department of the University of Hamburg in Ulrich Steinvorth's department . In 1987 the doctorate to Dr. phil. (“Summa cum laude”) at the University of Hamburg with the dissertation “The body-soul problem. Between the natural science of the mind and cultural one-dimensionality ” with the experts Steinvorth and Herbert Schnädelbach . From 1987 he worked in the working groups for technology assessment and technology assessment in connection with the planned biotechnological centers in Hamburg.

From 1989 to 1992 Hastedt was a research assistant (C1) at the University of Paderborn at the chair of Holm Tetens and was there in 1991 with education and technology. Basic problems of an ethics of technology habilitated . He taught at the Humboldt Study Center at the University of Ulm, was senior assistant (C2) at the University of Paderborn and, since October 1, 1992, has been a university professor (C4) for philosophy with a special focus on practical philosophy at the University of Rostock.

From October 1, 1998 to September 30, 2002, he was Vice-Rector for Structure and Development Planning (1998–2000) and for International Affairs and Public Relations (2000–2002).
