Eike Hendrik Holsten (born May 3, 1983 in Zeven ) is a German politician of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU).

Life

Holsten grew up in Tarmstedt . After graduating from St. Viti High School in Zeven in 2002 , he studied political science in Bremen . From 2008 to 2017 he worked as a research assistant in the offices of the Bundestag members Reinhard Grindel (until 2016) and Kathrin Rösel .

Holsten has been a member of the CDU since 2000. He is chairman of the CDU community association Rotenburg and deputy chairman of the CDU district association Rotenburg (Wümme). Since 2012 he has been a member of the Rotenburg (Wümme) city ​​council and since 2016 a member of the Rotenburg (Wümme) district council . In the state elections on October 15, 2017 , he succeeded in entering the Lower Saxony state parliament for the CDU as a direct candidate in constituency 53 (Rotenburg) .

Eike Holsten is married and has two children.
