Kathrin Rösel

Kathrin Rösel (born November 4, 1970 in Stendal ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From June 2016 to October 2017 she was a member of the 18th German Bundestag .

Life

Kathrin Rösel grew up in Nahrstedt . After completing an apprenticeship as a mechanical engineer in 1990, she passed her high school diploma that same year. From 1991 to 1997 she studied educational science, sociology and psychology at the Free University of Berlin and graduated as a qualified pedagogue. From 2003 to 2006, Kathrin Rösel studied social management in Braunschweig while working and completed this course with a Master of Social Management. From 1999 to 2004, Kathrin Rösel worked as a youth carer in the Brome municipality in the Gifhorn district and until 2012 as a district youth officer in the Gifhorn district. From 2012 to 2015 she was the head of the main and school authorities in the Meinersen municipality (Gifhorn district). From March 2015 until the assumption of a mandate in the German Bundestag, Kathrin Rösel was the first joint councilor in the joint community of Wesendorf. Since January 1, 2019, Kathrin Rösel has been the department head in the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel and responsible for the areas of youth, social affairs, education, culture, law and the health department.

Kathrin Rösel has a son.

Kathrin Rösel has been a member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) since 2008. From 2009 to 2013 she was district chairwoman of the Frauen Union Wolfsburg , from 2011 to 2017 district chairwoman of the Frauen Union Nordostniedersachsen. From 2011 to 2013 Rösel was parliamentary group leader in the Wolfsburg-Stadtmitte local council . Kathrin Rösel has been deputy CDU district chairwoman Elbe-Weser since 2017.

In 2014 she was appointed to the CDU Federal Committee on Education, Research and Innovation.

From June 4, 2016, Kathrin Rösel was a member of the German Bundestag as a successor on the Lower Saxony state list of the CDU (from the 2013 federal election) after the MP Reinhard Grindel was and will be President of the German Football Association on April 15, 2016 Resigned from the Bundestag mandate on June 3, 2016.
