The church

The Protestant village church of St. Andreas is located in the Haferungen district of the Werther community in the Nordhausen district in Thuringia .

history

The St. Andreas Church was built in 1720 and was first mentioned in a document. The walls of the building were made of natural stone . The side walls are covered with four square windows and a door. The upper floor of the church tower was built in half-timbered style . The tower attachment, which acts as a roof turret, has sound openings, a hood with lantern , button and weather vane .

In the church there is a crypt of the Drosten von Lüdecke family . The baptismal angel in the nave is remarkable.

The masonry of the church is in need of renovation.
