St. Annen (Kleinfurra)
The Protestant village church of St. Annen is on the eastern edge of the municipality of Kleinfurra in the Nordhausen district in Thuringia .
history
The patronage church of the manor , originally built in Romanesque style , was rebuilt and enlarged in the 19th century. Consisting of limestone built steeple , former watchtower , is considered the oldest building.
The nave was added to the elevated tower .
The oldest bell was cast in 1315. The second in the bell cage with a diameter of 1.13 meters bears the coat of arms of the von Wurmb and the year 1662. The third place in the pews for the small bell was empty. Confiscated for armaments purposes in both world wars, they escaped being melted down and could be retrieved.
The church houses an organ from Wilhelm Rühlmann's workshop from 1911. The organ has two manuals, a pedal and 13 stops. In 2009 it was restored by Orgelbau Waltershausen .
Epitaphs in the cemetery commemorate the landowners. It is assumed that the daughter Anna von Wurmb gave the church its name.
