Figure Christ at rest

The Catholic chapel of St. Antonius in Heudorf , a district of the municipality of Glött in the Bavarian district of Dillingen an der Donau , was built by the farmer Hans Saule from Heudorf in 1688, according to an inscription plaque in front of the altar step, who fulfilled a vow with this building . It is located northeast of the hamlet on a slope and is a protected architectural monument .

description

The single-nave building with only one axis and a semicircular closed altar niche is vaulted by a semi- dome with stitch caps . The choir arch rests on pillars with profiled fighters . Two circular windows give the room natural light. On the gable side, where the segmented entrance is located, the corners are provided with a cranked profile cornice . Above that, in a small arched niche, the figure Christ resting (around 1690) can be seen on a console with an angel's head. The roof turret with a square substructure and eight-sided superstructure sits above a stair console . Round-arched sound openings are present in the lower glare fields.

The altar dates from the time it was built. The Stations of the Cross are painted in oil on cardboard.
