St. Blasius (Selkentrop)
The Catholic Chapel of St. Blasius is a listed church building in Selkentrop , a district of Schmallenberg in the Hochsauerlandkreis ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).
History and architecture
The small hall facing west was built in 1796 with an east and west end . The quarry stone walls are plastered. A roof turret was added to the building . A plaster ceiling was installed in the interior.
The wooden altar wall stands on pilasters , in column-framed niches there are busts of angels and figures of saints. The painting depicting the carrying of the cross is from the beginning of the 17th century.
