Chapel of St. Blaise in Egling an der Paar

The Chapel of St. Blaise is a small Catholic chapel in Egling an der Paar . The building was built in the Middle Ages in the late Romanesque style and was first mentioned in a document in 1170 in a property register of the Dießen monastery . This makes it the oldest building in town.

The small, compact chapel was built from large Nagelfluh blocks. During the Renaissance , the local painter Norbert Fischer created a new altar. At its center is the church patron Blasius von Sebaste . It is flanked by the Saints Nicholas of Myra and John the Baptist .
