Oil painting of St. Gunthild
A first church was on this site as early as the 11th century. It was consecrated by Bishop Gundekar II . The Romanesque tower basement was preserved when today's church was built in the 16th century. It was consecrated in 1596. In 1792/93 it was expanded by the Eichstätt court architect Domenico Maria Salle . The bells of the church were cast by the Bochum Association in 1922 . It is entered in the list of monuments as number D-1-76-116-1 .
