St. Cäcilia (Dauchingen)
St. Cäcilia is a Catholic church in Dauchingen . She belongs to the pastoral care unit An der Eschach ( Archdiocese of Freiburg ).
The church was built from 1844 to 1847 according to plans by a central building inspector Fischer from Karlsruhe . The 42 meter high tower of the 728 meter high church shapes the landscape far beyond the municipal boundaries. The nave measures 27 by 19.5 meters.
The church is now a listed building . It houses some historical works of art, for example
- Painting St. Cecilia by Wilhelm Dürr the Elder , 1847
- Wooden sculpture of the Evangelist Luke , 18th century
- Relief representation of God, 18th century
- Sandstone sculpture of the Dauchinger Madonna , around 1180/1190.
