St. Cyriakus in Zscherben

St. Cyriakus is a listed church in the village of Zscherben in the municipality of Teutschenthal in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments it is listed as a monument under registration number 094 55524 . It belongs to the parish area Halle-Neustadt / Nietleben in the parish of Halle-Saale district of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

The sacred building consecrated to St. Cyriakus was taken over by the Teutonic Order in 1292 . The elevation to the parish church took place at the latest in the 14th century. The building is characterized by the Gothic , choir and nave windows , and by the baroque , church tower, south portal and nave windows on the north side. The nave was built around 1500 and the church tower around 1700. An upside-down stone slab is walled in on the south side.

From 1991 to 1993 the church was thoroughly restored.
