The Church of St. Dionyius is the Roman Catholic parish church of the district Gondenbrett of the local community Gondenbrett in the Eifelkreis Bitburg-Prüm ( Rhineland-Palatinate ).

Church building

The present church was built between 1846 and 1847 according to plans by the Prüm district architect Guischard in the classicist style. The building is a single-nave hall construction with a coffered ceiling, a slender bell tower and a three-sided choir closure. However, there was a church in Gondenbrett earlier, but no traces of it are left.

Furnishing

In the church there is a baroque high altar , which was consecrated in 1658. This still comes from the previous church. There is also a Pietà from the 16th century in the church.

The parish of St. Jesu Namen in Wascheid also belongs to the parish of Gondenbrett .
