St. Elisabeth in Zappendorf

St. Elisabeth is a listed Catholic church in the district Zappendorf of the unified community Salzatal in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments it is recorded as a monument under registration number 094 55590 .

The sacred building consecrated to St. Elisabeth of Thuringia is located in Fleischergasse in Zappendorf. The Catholic Church was built in 1869 after the détente between the Christian faiths. The architect of the building is not known, but it has features such as the tower next to the nave and the consecration of St. Elisabeth of Thuringia, the architect Arnold Güldenpfennigs . At that time Güldenpfennig was the main architect of the Diocese of Paderborn , to which the area religiously belonged at that time. The building was built from light bricks in the neo-Gothic style .
