St. Johannes Evangelist (Dielmissen)
The Church of St. Johannes Evangelist was the Catholic church in Dielmissen , a parish in the Holzminden district in Lower Saxony . It was a branch church of the parish of the Holy Family in Eschershausen , in the former dean's office Hameln-Holzminden (today Weserbergland) of the diocese of Hildesheim . The church was named after the Evangelist Johannes and was located at Rosenstrasse 2 (corner of Am Schlagbaum). Today the nearest Catholic church is in Eschershausen, approx. 5 km away.
history
The church was built in 1964.
It was profaned on September 25, 2004 . After the sale it is now used as a private house.
Architecture and equipment
The solid church was designed as a nave church with a cross-crowned entrance tower, according to plans by the architect Rumpf from Paderborn. It was around 134 meters above sea level .
The church bells “St. Hedwig "and" St. Boniface ”were bequeathed to a community near Encarnación in Paraguay in November 2008 .
