The Roman Catholic parish church of St. Johannes Evangelist in Niederstetten in the Main-Tauber district was built in 1965/66 and is consecrated to St. John the Evangelist . The inauguration took place on May 16, 1966. It is one of the first prefabricated churches in the diocese of Rottenburg-Stuttgart to be built from prefabricated reinforced concrete parts. The church's furnishings include an artistic window wall by Hans Günther Schmidt from Baiersbronn, a way of the cross in the Holy Blood Chapel in contemporary design by Edith Peres-Lethmate from Koblenz, principal pieces made of shell limestone by Walter Selig from Laudenbach, as well as a tabernacle and a candlestick by Hermann Stadelmaier from Schwäbisch Gmünd. Above the altar is a mighty cross with a body of Christ from the Ulm school, which was made around 1450. The Catholic parish of Niederstetten is co-administered by the Laudenbach parish. The church belongs to pastoral care unit 3 , which is assigned to the Mergentheim dean's office in the Rottenburg-Stuttgart diocese . The church is a cultural monument of the city of Niederstetten.
