St. John the Baptist (Spelle)
St. John the Baptist is the Roman Catholic Church in Spelle , Emsland district in Lower Saxony . It belongs to the Diocese of Osnabrück in the dean's office Emsland Süd and is part of the parish community Spelle with the churches of St. John the Baptist - Lünne, St. Vitus - Schapen, St. Ludgerus - Spelle-Venhaus, St. Vitus.
History and equipment
After the previous church proved to be too small, the current church was consecrated in 1970. The approximately 700 seats in the hall church are arranged around the altar and the ambo . The tabernacle pillar stands apart from the altar. The baptismal font is in a niche to the side of the main entrance . A Marienkapelle was created behind the stairway to the organ gallery . Two window pictures from 2007 show Pope John Paul II on the left and the four Lübeck martyrs Hermann Lange , Johannes Prassek , Eduard Müller and Karl Friedrich Stellbrink on the right .

The organ with 31 registers in the back of the church was built by Matthias Kreienbrink from Osnabrück . The slider chests -instrument has mechanical play and Registertrakturen .
