The St. Josef Chapel (also Josefskapelle ) is a Catholic chapel in the Oberkirch district of Hesselbach in the Ortenau district .

The construction goes back to a pledge made in 1870. The mayor of the community of Butschbach promised to build a chapel if his son returns home from the Franco-German War in good health . Construction of the chapel in neo-Romanesque style began on April 15, 1877. The chapel was consecrated four months later in August 1877. As patron was St. Joseph selected. The church has been renovated several times.

Above the main door there is the inscription: Jesus Maria and Joseph come to the aid of all passers-by at their last end, who pray our Father at this chapel
