The church

The village church St. Kilian is in the district of Stedten of the rural community Am Ettersberg in the district of Weimarer Land in Thuringia . It belongs to the parish association of Ramsla in the Weimar parish of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

The village church is located on the eastern edge of the village.

history

In the former manor village, the church was first mentioned in documents in 1421. The year 1587 is carved on the front of a grave slab. Above the door in the east, the year 1684 is indicated in a gable field with an angel's head. The pulpit altar dates from the 17th century. The church , which could no longer be used in 1989, was renovated until 2006 and is a listed building . It is located on the Jakobsweg from Görlitz towards Eisenach .

For the pilgrims who built parish , a kitchen and a bathroom with toilet. 200–250 people stay here every year.
