The Church of St. Lukas is at Siebenbürgener Str. 12 in the Konradsiedlung district of Regensburg . The community is part of the deanery of Regensburg in the parish of Regensburg the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria .

history

After the war , an emergency church was built on the area that until then belonged to the Neupfarrkirche . In 1955 the parish of St. Luke was founded. The Lukaskirche with tower itself was inaugurated on October 27, 1957.

St. Lukas was planned by the architect Gottfried Bauer and is modeled on a ship's hull.

organ

The organ was manufactured in 1964 by the Walcker company in Ludwigsburg and has 13 sounding registers , distributed over two manuals and a pedal . Despite the brief disposition, it is characterized by a variety of tonal colors.

Bells

With six bells, the church has the most tonal ringing of the Evangelical Church in Regensburg. The bells were cast by Friedrich Wilhelm Schilling in Heidelberg in 1958 and have a total weight of 1,995 kg. The ringing has the tone sequence a'-h'-d ″ -e ″ -fis ″ -h ″.
