history

The hall structure comes from the Baroque era and was built in 1723 from parts of its predecessor, which was built in the 15th century in the late Gothic style. The west tower is a rectangular structure made of red sandstone and was completed in 1767.

The St. Margaretenkirche has a large oil painting by Alois Süßmayr "Handing over the shepherd's crook to St. Peter".

In the churchyard there is a baroque-style cemetery cross that was erected around 1730, as well as a second cross from 1727. Two sandstone sculptures made around 1700 are inside the church. A hall of honor from the 1920s is located near the forecourt, which is dedicated to the fallen of the First World War and which was expanded after the Second World War.
