St. Maria Magdalena (Gevelinghausen)
The Catholic parish church of St. Maria Magdalena is a listed church building in Gevelinghausen , a district of Olsberg in the Hochsauerlandkreis ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).
History and architecture
The former castle chapel , located directly at the entrance to Gevelinghausen Castle , was first mentioned in a document in 1544. The small neo-Gothic quarry stone hall with a polygonal choir closes on three sides . The previous building, consecrated in 1633, was expanded to include the eastern part in 1879 by Arnold Güldenpfennig . The nave was replaced with three bays in 1900 . The walls in the vaulted interior are structured by lead glass windows from the company Joseph Osterrath.

- A cast iron grave slab with a relief figure of a knight from the 16th century
- A crucifix from around 1900
