The Protestant village church of St. Marien is located on the eastern edge of the Gorndorf district north of Geraer Straße / corner of Ratsgasse in the city of Saalfeld / Saale in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district in Thuringia .

history

In 1328 the village of Gorndorf was first mentioned in connection with a chapel consecrated to Mary . On the church tower you can see small clover-leaf arched windows below the ledge on the upper floor. The furnishings are from the 18th century. The nave is equipped with two-storey galleries in brown tone.
