History and architecture
The late Classicist brick hall with a three-sided choir closure in the west was built from 1833 to 1834 according to a preliminary design by A. Walger and construction plans by the building manager Westphalen. The tower under a slate pyramid is in front. During renovation work from 1970 to 1974, two sacristies that were added later were demolished and the choir windows reopened. The choir arch in the interior was removed, and the coffered wooden ceiling was extended into the choir room . The ornamental windows were made in 1977 according to plans by A. Weigmann.
Furnishing
The organ , the organ stage and the stalls have been preserved from the equipment acquired until 1841 . The organ and the case were built by E. Maaß from 1836 to 1841. The work was completed by W. Korfmacher. The organ was last renovated from 1975 to 1977.
