The Protestant village church of St. Martin is in the Kleinleinungen district of the Südharz community in the Mansfeld-Südharz district in Saxony-Anhalt . It belongs to the parish area Oberndorf in Kirchenkreis Eisleben-Sömmerda the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

history

The current church building was erected in 1819 instead of a previous building that was demolished due to dilapidation. The population of the village and the surrounding areas took an active part in the construction process. The Count of Stolberg / Roßla made a large donation. The cross vault in the chancel was preserved from the tower substructure , the bells were placed in the new tower. The new building was inaugurated on the 20th Sunday after Trinity 1819.

The organ was installed from 1820 to 1830 by the organ builder Johann Andreas Scheidler from Bennungen .
