description

The church was built in the Middle Ages . After a fire at the end of the 17th century, the church was in a deplorable condition. It was torn down to the ground and a new church was built in 1695–97. Andreas Preßler from Bilzingsleben is named as the builder . The siblings had the pulpit altar made by Cruxen. In another fire in 1939, the entire interior was lost, as was the church tower . In the same year, a bronze bell was cast by Franz August Schilling , which was hung in a bell carrier in front of the church. The bell carrier was shut down in 2009. The interior was not completely renewed until 1950. Today's pointed arched windows were used.

The stone-sighted, towerless hall church has a polygonal east end. The crucifix from the early 16th century survived the fires and is still attached to the wall in the choir .
