The Protestant parish church of St. Michael is a listed church building in Flammersfeld , a local parish in the Altenkirchen district ( Rhineland-Palatinate ).

The simple, three-aisled , four-bay, flat-roofed pillar basilica was raised around 1200 on a former cemetery in a similar location to the church in Birnbach . Despite structural changes in the 15th, 17th and 19th centuries, the Romanesque character was retained. The apse was raised to the height of the choir in the late Gothic period and the north aisle was provided with buttresses and windows. The south aisle was torn down in 1896 and restored to its present-day condition by building a gallery. A gallery was built in the west in 1695. A comprehensive restoration was carried out between 1974 and 1975, which emphasized the Romanesque character of the church. The upper facade windows were reopened, the neo-Romanesque arcades were divided by inserted columns, the choir windows were made smaller and the organ gallery was rebuilt. The color version was renewed after the findings.

The equipment consists of a late Gothic tabernacle , a baroque altar table and a pulpit from the 17th century. A late Gothic relief depicting the crucifixion was reassembled from fragments.
