St. Michaelis village church

The Church of St. Michaelis is a Protestant church in Bockelnhagen in the Thuringian district of Eichsfeld in the southern Harz parish of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

It is a hall church in Tudor style , which in 1832 by the family Minnigerode was built. The south gable is made of bricks.

In 1963 the interior was rebuilt, followed by renovation in 1978. A surrounding gallery on wooden pillars is characteristic of the interior .

A church in this region was first mentioned in 1260, but at a different location, namely between Bockelnhagen and Zwinge . Of this, however, only the remains of the church tower are preserved.
