St. Nikolai in Weißenschirmbach

St. Nikolai is a listed Protestant choir tower church in the Weißenschirmbach district of the city of Querfurt in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments it is listed as a monument under registration number 094 50444 .

The church consecrated to St. Nicholas of Myra (address Borngasse 20 ) emerged from a Nikolaikapelle, the expansion of which into a church began in 1404. In 1512 the church was elevated to a parish church, previously it was a branch of the Church of St. Dionysius in Vitzenburg .

There is a corridor with a staircase under the patron's box. Modifications and extensions in the 18th century shape the current appearance of the church.
