The church

The listed Lutheran village church of St. Nicholas in the district is Gleicherwiesen town Römhild in Hildburghausen in Thuringia .

Already in the Middle Ages there was a chapel on the current land of the current village church . Therefore, the remains of the wall and the moat are under monument protection . From 1493 until the 19th century the village formed its own parish , of which the rectory still gives evidence. After the old church was closed and demolished in 1839, a new building in neo-Gothic style was built from 1841 to 1843 according to plans by August Wilhelm Döbner .

The interior of the nave is plain and simple.
