St. Peter and Paul (Mangolding)
St. Peter and Paul is a listed Roman Catholic side church at Kirchstrasse 3 in the Mangolding district of the municipality of Mintraching in the Regensburg district ( Bavaria ). The church belongs to the Scheuer branch .
The church is a hall building from the 13th century with a retracted choir and half-hipped roof, flank tower with onion dome and sign. Parts of the chancel and the lower floors of the tower date back to the 13th century. The sacristy was added later and the nave was extended to the west. Around 1725 the tower was raised, adding an octagonal floor with a baroque onion dome to the square floor plan.
The historicizing high altar in the neo-renaissance style dates from the end of the 19th century. In the arched fields of the altar there is a figure of the church patron Peter , flanked by the apostles Paul and John . The people's altar was only made in 1980 and contains a historical relief from the 19th century, which comes from the former pulpit and shows Christ sitting on a stone bench. The baroque side altars from the 18th century are dedicated to Saints Anna and Maria . The Way of the Cross with 14 stations dates from the late 19th century. In the vestibule there is a weathered stone cross with a crucifixion group from the 16th century.
In front of the church is a Jewish gravestone that was dragged here in 1519 after the Jews were expelled from Regensburg . A section of the cemetery wall probably dates from the 17/18. Century.
