St. Peter and Paul in Niederndodeleben

The church of St. Peter and Paul in Niederndodeleben (Unterdorf) was built in 1150 as a fortified church . The massive Romanesque west transverse tower testifies to this . The nave was lengthened, widened and raised after 1709. The altar, the galleries, the pulpit and the baptismal font date from this time. The church houses a historic organ that still contains parts of the original instrument by Heinrich Compenius the Younger from 1611. Concerts take place regularly.
