As the former second smallest congregation in the city of Frankfurt, St. Pius was threatened with dissolution, but in 2010 St. Pius moved from the pastoral area of Bockenheim to the pastoral area of Gallus and was thus retained. Since then, a process of growing together with the parishes of St. Gallus and Maria Hilf has taken place in the pastoral area of Gallus.

Since 1997 it has also been the church of the Slovak Roman Catholic Parish of St. Gorasz .

The Ethiopian Orthodox exile community (Ethiopian Orthodox Medhane Alem Church / Savior Church) has been based here since 2011. This small Ethiopian exile community comes from a schism that resulted in the dismissal of Patriarch Merkorios (also Märqorewos) in 1991 , including his flight to his US exile and the election of Patriarch Abune Paulos (also Pavlov), who died in 2012 , of the majority Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church does not recognize. Since 1995 these small Ethiopian Orthodox Medhane Alem Church / Redeemer Church congregations have been formed in Germany (Berlin and Frankfurt am Main), but they do not have their own church buildings.

The majority Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church has its largest Ethiopian parish in Germany with currently more than 4,000 parishioners in Frankfurt am Main. She celebrates her services in the Catholic Church of Women's Peace in Frankfurt-Bockenheim.
