The Roman Catholic parish church of St. Pius in Laibach , a district of Dörzbach in the Hohenlohe district , was built in 1954 and is consecrated to St. Pius .

history

The foundation stone was laid on June 27, 1954 by Father Heinrich Wohnhaas, a former Comboni missionary. Bishop Edgar Häring consecrated the church on June 26, 1955. Before the Pius Church was built, services were celebrated in the Ljubljana Castle Chapel for several centuries. In 2007 the interior of the church was renovated. The Catholic parish in Ljubljana is co-administered by the parish office in Stuppach . The church belongs to the pastoral care unit 1b - Holy Cross , which is assigned to the Mergentheim deanery of the Rottenburg-Stuttgart diocese . Laibach is the only parish of the Mergentheim deanery that is not in the Main-Tauber district .
