The parish church of St. Sebastian is the Roman Catholic church in Autenhausen , a district of the Upper Franconian town of Seßlach . The baroque church was built from 1774. It is consecrated to St. Sebastian .

description

The church is a hall with a retracted choir and a single-tower facade. The high altar from 1781 is the work of the sculptor Karl Albert from Gabolshausen; the altarpiece showing the crucifixion of Jesus is painted in the Nazarene style. The side altars are artistically valuable; the side altar with the statue of St. Bernhard came from the Tambach castle chapel to the Autenhausen church in 1805/06. In 1942, the Marien altar without the baroque Pietà was exchanged for the Nepomuk altar by Rothenberg, which also came from the Tambach castle chapel. The furnishings include a rococo pulpit, a baroque font and the aforementioned Pietà, which is a gift from the Langheim monastery.

Today the parish belongs to the Catholic parish community in Seßlach. The branch church in Gleismuthhausen , which was built in 1603, belongs to it.
