St. Servatius and St. Matthias is a Roman Catholic parish church in the local community of Dahnen in the Eifel district of Bitburg-Prüm in Rhineland-Palatinate .

history

The oldest part of the church is the choir tower, shortened by one storey in 1829, from the first half of the 13th century with the ribbed vaulted former choir in the basement. A new late Gothic three-nave nave with two octagonal central supports was added to it in the 16th century. In 1732 the nave received a new west portal and new windows, as well as a sacristy east of the choir tower.

In 1954/55 the western yoke was removed when the old church received a new transverse building facing north. The medieval nave now serves as the east transept and the former choir in the tower as a side chapel.
