St. Ulrich (Alps)
The Catholic parish church of St. Ulrich is a listed church building in Alpen , a municipality in the Wesel district ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).
History and architecture
The original Ulrich Church was first mentioned around 1300 in the Liber valoris . In the Middle Ages it was located to the west outside the city walls. It was destroyed in a war in 1602, and a new parish church was built within the city in 1650.
The three-aisled, neo-Gothic stepped hall with a choir in 5/8 end was built from 1873 to 1874 according to plans by Heinrich Wiethase . The church was built in brick. The tower at the side was completed in 1903.

- Neo-Gothic altars by F. Langenberg from Goch
- The choir stalls and confessionals were also built by F. Langenberg
- Glass paintings by Hans Menke have been framed in the windows since 1940 and 1953.
- The painted stations of the cross originate from the church of St. Peter in Büderich
