St. Ulrich (Egling an der Paar)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The St. Ulrich Chapel is a small Catholic chapel in Egling an der Paar in the Upper Bavarian district of Landsberg am Lech . It was probably built in the 13th century on a small hill above the town in the late Romanesque style. The chapel is consecrated to the Augsburg bishop Ulrich .

The one-nave brick chapel has a bell tower on its west side. In 1891 the Wagner Joseph Siebenhütter built a Lourdes grotto on the east side of the chapel with a statue of Our Lady brought back from a pilgrimage. In 1946 a cemetery was laid out near the chapel.
