St. Ursula is a Roman Catholic church in the Konzer district of Krettnach ( district of Trier-Saarburg ) in Rhineland-Palatinate .

history

St. Ursula was mentioned in 1148 as the church of the Krettnacher Hof, which was owned by the Trier St. Matthias Abbey . The church belonged to the parish Pellingen , which also belonged to the Trier Abbey. In 1787 Krettnach was parish off from Pellingen and St. Ursula parish church.

The oldest part of the church is the Romanesque choir tower from the 12th century with the choir bay in the tower basement and the adjoining semicircular apse. The nave was rebuilt in 1773/74 and finally expanded in 1959/60 with a large transept in modern shapes.
