Pinkafeld nursing home

The St. Vinzenz nursing home is located in the town of Pinkafeld in Burgenland .

From 1854 to 1855 a monastery and hospital was built with the architect Carl Roesner for the Order of the Cooperative of the Daughters of Christian Love of St. Vincent von Paul as a foundation of Countess Franziska Batthyány , who entered the order as a novice in 1854 and died there in 1861 .

The neo-Gothic chapel of the Immaculate Conception was consecrated on June 24, 1855 by Bishop Michael Haas . The chapel received new furnishings by the sculptor Thomas Resetarits .

Today the building, which has been rebuilt and expanded several times, is used as a nursing home, day care center and kindergarten.
