The church of St. Wolfgang in the Etterzhausen district of the market in Nittendorf in the Upper Palatinate district of Regensburg in Bavaria (St.-Wolfgangsgasse 6) probably dates from the 12th century.
history
The church, probably built in the 12th century, was first mentioned in a document in 1522 and was then consecrated to St. Ulrich . From 1819 it was owned by the Etterzhausen lords of the castle , since 1986 it has been owned by the municipality of Nittendorf.
Structure and equipment
The church is a hall with a retracted choir . The chapel is provided with a shingled facade roof turret , which is covered with a tent roof. The bell bears in capital letters the inscription O ALMECHTIGER GOT SEI VNS GENEDIG VND PARMHERZIG 1553rd
In the church there is a tombstone with the coat of arms (lily) of the Erlbeck family , on it you can see eight other coats of arms and the year 1622. This family had lived at Etterzhausen Castle since the beginning of the 17th century .
A second gravestone bears the coat of arms of the Haller von Hallerstein and four smaller coats of arms. A cartouche reads: Heint live, tomorrow we will be dead, We are sorry and need, give us patience, Lord by your hand, bring us to the right fatherland. Another cartouche reads: Buried here is the noble virtue of honor Fraw Barbara Erlbeckhin A born Hallerstein von Hallerstein, age 32, died on March 22nd, 1615 jarr Whose Söll gave God.
A third gravestone shows a relief with Christ as a child friend. He also commemorates two members of the Erlbeck family who died young .
