The State University Pavlodar ( Russian Павлодарский государственный университет им.Торайгырова ) is a university in Pavlodar , Kazakhstan . It is named after Sultan Machmut Toraighyrow .

history

The university was founded as an institute in 1960 and transformed into Pavlodar State University in 1996 . The State University Pavlodar - one of the largest universities in Kazakhstan, a center of education, science and culture is not only in the Pavlodar region, but also in the Republic.

In 2006 the number of students was 10,000. Today the university is a multidisciplinary college, with a highly intelligent scientific and educational potential. The university has over 10,000 students, more than 530 academic staff, including 20 professors, 217 doctors and 104 lecturers.
