State coat of arms of the Russian Empire

The state coat of arms of the Russian Empire was in use from 1882 to 1917. It is also the central part of the Great Coat of Arms of the Russian Empire . The triple crowned black double-headed eagle in the gold coat of arms is covered with the breast shield, on which elements of the Moscow coat of arms are.

The coat of arms was replaced by the coat of arms of the Russian SFSR after the October Revolution of 1917.
