Stacy Sherman

Stacy Sherman (born 20th century in Los Angeles , California ) is an American film producer , director and screenwriter .

Career

Stacy Sherman was born in Los Angeles. Her career in the film business began in 2005 with her documentary God Sleeps in Rwanda , for which she and Kimberlee Acquaro were responsible as producers, directors and scriptwriters. For this work, both received a nomination in the category " Best Documentary Short Film " at the 2006 Academy Awards . The award went to the competition Corinne Marrinan and Eric Simonson with his contribution A Note of Triumph: The Golden Age of Norman Corwin . In 2007, Sherman and Acquaro received a News & Documentary Emmy Award for their work. Subsequently, she was responsible for the films Goodnight, Vagina and Chasing Ice as a director. She co-wrote the script for the comedy Once Upon a Time by Julie Anne Robinson . The first feature film for which Sherman was responsible was released in 2015 under the title The Breakup Girl .

Stacy Sherman is married to screenwriter Billy Ray .
