Julie Anne Robinson

Julie Anne Robinson is a British theater , television and film director .

Life

Robinson began her career in 1998 as a theater director. Two years later, she first worked for British television and led the directing three episodes of the BBC - soap opera Doctors . In the following years she shot episodes of other television productions, including seven episodes of the soap opera Holby City . In 2004 she directed the first three parts of the six-part mini - series Blackpool . For this she was nominated for a BAFTA award, the series itself received a Golden Globes nomination in 2006 .

This enabled her to jump into the US television business; that same year she directed an episode of Grey's Anatomy . In addition to a total of five episodes of the series, she staged other series episodes, including for the sitcom Samantha Who? In 2009 filming began on her first feature film, With You by My Side , a Disney production with Miley Cyrus and Greg Kinnear in the lead roles.
