The Stade Charles de Gaulle is a multi-purpose arena in Benin's second largest city, Porto-Novo , with a capacity of 15,000. The stadium, which is mainly used for football matches , is the home ground of AS Dragons FC de l'Ouémé des Mogas 90 FC and Aiglons FC. In 2012 the African Athletics Championships took place at the Stade Charles de Gaulle. As part of qualifying for the 2014 World Cup , the Beninese national football team played their games against Algeria and Rwanda in Porto Novo.
