The Stade Omar Bongo ( German Omar Bongo Stadium ) is a football stadium with an athletics facility in Libreville , the capital of Gabon . The stadium has a capacity of 40,000 spectators. It is the home stadium of FC 105 Libreville and the national soccer team of Gabon . The facility is named after the former Gabonese President Omar Bongo and is called Stade Omnisport President Omar Bongo Ondimba .
The sports facility was completely renovated from 2010 to 2012 and the grandstands covered.
Gabon will host the 2017 African Cup of Nations and the Stade Omar Bongo would be a possible venue.
