The Stade Robert Diochon is a football stadium in the French town of Le Petit-Quevilly near Rouen in the Seine-Maritime department in the Normandy region .

history

The facility opened in 1917 and is the sporting home of FC Rouen . In 1953 the venue was renamed in honor of Robert Diochon . He was a co-founder and team captain of the club. From 1906 to 1907 and from 1908 to 1953 he was President of Rouen FC for 47 years.

The stadium currently offers 12,018 seats. The visitor record was set up on April 10, 1977 in the game FC Rouen against AS Saint-Étienne (1: 1) in the round of 16 of the French Cup 1976/77 with 23,532 spectators. Due to new safety regulations in the 2003/04 season, the grandstands behind the goals had to be torn down and replaced by tubular steel grandstands.
