The stadium of the district sports facility Am Hessenteich is a stadium in Bochum 's Langendreer district .
The stadium has a capacity of 7,000 spectators and has a covered grandstand to the west. The stadium is the home ground of the former football club SV Langendreer 04 . In addition to the grass pitch surrounded by an ash runway, an ash pitch and the so-called poplar meadow are part of the stadium complex. The Pappelwiese is a field created by the youth department itself, which is used for the training work of the youth teams. Next to the stadium there are numerous tennis courts and a beach volleyball facility from SV Langendreer 04.
The stadium is located near Haus Langendreer . Nowadays there is a school for hard of hearing children and young people and a school for the physically handicapped (Schule am Haus Langendreer, Westphalian School for the physically handicapped) with a total of about 300 students in the complex.
The stadium of the BZA Am Hessenteich was a venue for the 4th football world championship for people with disabilities in 2006: on September 10, 2006 a game in the first main round was played here. The team of Mexico won against Australia 10-0.
The stadium is also used for the national school youth games.
