City fortifications Altenteich

The Altenteich city fortifications are remnants of the city fortifications of Düren in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The rest of the Düren city wall is located between the streets Altenteich and Stürtzstraße in the area of ​​the Stiftisches Gymnasium and the adjacent Hoeschpark.

The following monuments belong to this fortification system:

• Thick Tower (Düren)
• Remnants of the city wall at the Grönjansturm
• Grönjansturm
• Fortification at the Grönjansturm
• Mill pond as a former moat

The entire complex is entered in the list of monuments of the city of Düren under No. 1/035.
